In small rural towns across America, "Dragging Main" is an activity that has been passed down for generations. This activity usually takes place on a Friday or Saturday starting late evening into the night. Most places have a fairly well-established route for the cars to drive, with turnaround spots and places to stop and watch. There will always be places where the cliquish groups hang out together. The football players and sports players in an area, the cowboys over in another hangout but all in a location where they can see who is in the cars slowly cruising main street.

In this painting the cowboy is not only Dragging Main but he is Draggin' that stallion's Mane while showing out on the main street of this very rural town; waking all the guests in the over promising but likely underdelivering "Grand Palace".
