"BACK TO THE FUTURE"

38.5" x 50.5"

Settling in the early Southwest posed formidable challenges. The arid land made crop cultivation nearly impossible due to the sporadic and meager rains. However, tough men and women persevered, displaying unwavering determination. Farmers, in particular, adapted by embracing more drought-resistant crops and implementing innovative irrigation and water-conservation methods. Drawing inspiration from the indigenous people, they honed the skills required for survival in an environment that allowed for mere subsistence rather than prosperity.

Just as Doc could never have foreseen in 1955 what the future would look like when he created his modern time travel machine in "BACK TO THE FUTURE."  The farmers of the late 1800's would never have believe that they could one day farm the winds.  The wide open spaces of the west was the perfect location to advance the early conservation techniques that were so vital to the existence of the early natives.
